The right amount - to meet your baby's need

Please use only the Humana measuring spoon included in our pack (holds about 4.3 g). After 6 months a baby drinks 200 ml per meal on average and 2-3 baby milk portions per day. We recommend only replacing the last serving of regular Humana Follow-on Milk with Humana Little Dreamers Milk. The indicated drinking amounts are an approximate value and can vary individually as every baby is unique.

The right preparation is key

When preparing the baby formula, please follow the instructions. Clean bottle, teat and ring thoroughly, prepare freshly before each meal, feed immediately, and do not reuse any leftovers. Improper preparation and storage may be harmful to baby’s health. Don’t heat up in the microwave (risk of scalding).

1

Boil water, let it cool to 50° C and pour half of it into a clean bottle.

2

Use measuring spoon and back of knife or similar to add required amount of powder into bottle.

3

Close bottle and shake immediately, then add remaining water and shake again.

4

Fasten teat tightly and check content for drinking temperature (37°C).

    Important Notice

Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby. Follow-on Milk should not be used as a replacement for breast milk during the first 6 months, and should only be introduced after 6 months as part of a balanced diet.

The individual growth and development of your baby may make it necessary to introduce follow-on formula as part of a balanced diet earlier. Please talk to your paediatrician or your midwife if you want to use baby milk.

Breastfeeding is beyond a doubt the best way to nourish your baby

Breastfeeding is associated with many benefits for you and your baby:

  • It is optimally tailored to the nutritional needs of your baby.
  • It protects against infections.
  • It reinforces the bond between you and your baby.
  • It is the cheapest diet.

As a breastfeeding mom, please keep in mind that it is important to eat a healthy and balanced diet to pass energy and nutrients to your baby.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends breastfeeding as the sole source of nutrition for the first 6 months and continued breastfeeding for up to two years or beyond. But for various reasons, sometimes breastfeeding is simply not possible. If this is the case, infant formula can be used.

Before feeding infant formula, please talk to your paediatrician or midwife. Please be aware that ceasing to breastfeed or supplementing breastfeeding with infant formula may reduce breast milk supply. This effect is difficult to reverse. If you decide to use infant formula, always read and follow the instructions on the pack carefully. Improper preparation and storage may be harmful to your baby's health.
